Who Are We?

Enactus is a global non-profit organization operational in 39 countries, uniting over 70,000 students to harness the power of entrepreneurial action for creating a positive impact. At Enactus Shri Ram College of Commerce, we are committed to uplifting lives and contributing to a better world through innovative and sustainable initiatives.
Aligned with these objectives, we launched Project Aavaran, an adaptive apparel and footwear initiative. The name itself evokes the idea of “covering” or “wrapping”, a fitting metaphor for a brand that seeks to clothe and protect one of India’s most underserved communities: persons with mobility impairments and disabilities.
Our Vision
Aavaran envisions a barrier-free world where adaptive fashion is a mainstream reality, not a niche afterthought. We aspire to grow into a comprehensive accessibility ecosystem across adaptive apparel, assistive technology, and inclusive consultancy, making inclusivity the foundation of fashion, not just a feature.
At Aavaran, we are committed to bridging the gap between medical necessity and everyday dignity. We design and deliver adaptive clothing and footwear tailored to the real needs of mobility-impaired individuals and persons with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and affordability go hand in hand because dignity should never come at a premium.
Our Journey
Aavaran started with a simple observation the apparel industry had largely failed to account for a significant portion of its potential consumers. Mobility-impaired individuals in India were either managing with ill-fitting conventional clothing or paying a steep premium for imported solutions rarely designed with them in mind.
We spent considerable time in the field, speaking with orthotists, medical professionals, NGOs, and most importantly, the individuals themselves. That process shaped everything: our product decisions, pricing philosophy, and understanding of what this space genuinely required.
What followed was a deliberate effort to build an adaptive wear brand from the ground up one that prioritized function without sacrificing form, and accessibility without compromising quality.
